Double Gold for Castroviejo BJJ at IBJJF Santa Cruz Open

Another fantastic weekend for the team at  Castroviejo Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy — with both Prof. Leandro and Prof. Daniel “Mão de Broca” Queiroz da Silva bringing home double gold medals at the IBJJF Santa Cruz International Open.

Competing at a high-level IBJJF event is never easy, especially when balancing teaching, running classes, and preparing students throughout the week. To come away with double gold performances once again is a huge achievement and a reflection of the consistency, discipline, and technical level they bring to the academy every day.

For students, it’s also a reminder that the techniques being taught on the mats are being pressure-tested against top competition year-round. Whether your goal is fitness, self-defence, confidence, or competition, training under active competitors makes a difference.

We’re incredibly proud of both professors and excited to bring that momentum back into the academy.
